A new Exhibition is set to open next month at The Helicopter Museum in Weston-super-Mare.

‘Developing An Archive’ will tell the story of how the famous aviation attraction has managed to gather a plethora of rotor craft documentation over the past 50 years and subsequently been able to build one of the largest archives on the subject in the World. The display will feature certain items of local interest and others of historic importance that have been donated to the museum during the last half century. It will also detail the painstaking process of conservation that takes place at the Museum.

The exhibition is being organised by Museum Collections Officer and Somerset Representative of the South West Federation of Museums and Art Galleries, Kathryn Sherrington and her team of Archive Volunteers.

Anybody wishing to find out further details of the exhibition or alternatively discuss rotorcraft objects that they have in their attic or shed that they would like preserved for future generations should call Kathryn at the Museum on 01934 635227.
