Russian dealer Aviamarket has announced that they have three sales to date of the Robinson R66 to owners in Russia.  They are planning for at least one of these to be flown from the factory in August 2011 mostly following the northern coastline of the Pacific Ocean via British Columbia, Alaska and Siberia all the way to their heliport in Moscow.  This is to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Lend Lease program during the Second World War, whereby huge amounts of war materials were supplied by the US to the Soviet Union (as well as other countries) and much of that was supplied via a rail link close to the route the helicopters will take later this year.
