A fast-paced debate between three keynote speakers is sure to be among the highlights of the fast approaching CHC Safety & Quality Summit.

Held March 28 – 30, 2011 at the Westin Bayshore Resort & Marina in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, the CHC Safety & Quality Summit will feature approximately 70 sessions examining this year’s theme, including the featured debate.

“These are three of the finest minds in the aviation sector,” said Greg Wyght, Vice President, Safety and Quality for CHC Helicopter. “This is sure to be an incredible session, one that will appeal to all the Summit attendees.”

Graham Braithwaite, Director of the Cranfield Safety and Accident Investigation Centre, will be joined by risk expert Tony Kern and aviation correspondent John Nance in a discussion exploring the theme: Corporate Responsibility vs. Personal Accountability. Scott Shappell of Human Factors Analysis and Classification System Inc. (HFACS) will serve as the debate’s facilitator.

“We are thrilled Mr. Nance will make his first appearance at our Summit and are excited to have Tony Kern return as his keen observations and sharp intellect have made him a much anticipated speaker,” said Wyght. “Professor Braithwaite’s contributions to last year’s Summit made him a popular speaker, and we feel the three speakers will provide an informative and interesting debate.”

The debate will be held Monday, March 28, from 10 a.m. until noon and is open to all registrants of the Summit.

Now in its seventh consecutive year, the Summit is an internationally recognized conference aimed at improving safety in aviation globally through excellence in human factors.
