United Rotorcraft Solutions (URS) was recently awarded separate contracts to customize two Eurocopter EC135’s for executive transport.

The first helicopter to deliver will be outfitted with a full VIP leather interior to include tinted windows, enhanced soundproofing and a cabin/cargo separation wall.  An Air Comm air conditioner will also be installed.

The avionics and communications equipment to be installed consists of a Dual Garmin GNS530W Comm/NAV/GPS, the Garmin GMX200 MFD, GTS820 Traffic System, GDL69A Data Link for XM Weather, a GMA347H Audio control with Marker Beacon to include iPod input, and a GTX328 Transponder.  An additional MFD, Aspen EFD1000, will also be installed.

The second VIP EC135 will be completed to include a Garmin suite with the Traffic System with Blue Sky Satellite Tracking, Flight Cell Satellite Phone and internet integration for iPad and Bluetooth for the GSM Telephone.  Red Hen HD mini cameras and DVR system will also be installed along with a Technisonic FM Transceiver.

Some of the airframe equipment to be installed consists of air conditioning, Dart’s wire strike protection system, tri-bag float system and settling protectors.  The executive leather interior will have height adjustable pilot and copilot seats, enhanced soundproofing and a forward console with iPod docks.

URS will complete both aircraft with customized exterior paint schemes to the clients’ specifications.
