United Rotorcraft Solutions (URS) recently completed an avionics upgrade on a Bell 407 for DS Aviation of Dallas, TX.

The new helicopter was originally customized by URS and delivered to DS Aviation in early 2010.  The customer wanted to incorporate the latest glass cockpit and brought the aircraft back to United Rotorcraft to perform the work.

URS removed the standard flight instrument group, fabricated a new instrument panel and installed the Garmin G500H in less than two weeks.  The G500H is an all-glass avionics flight display designed specifically for the VFR Part 27 helicopter market.
