Gazprom has selected Rubin (St. Petersburg) after a tender to draft a concept design for an intermediate marine helicopter landing pad for the Shtokman gas condensate field. The client is the 100-percent Gazprom subsidiary Gazflot.  Rubin will use its own knowledge and expertise to draft the concept for Gazflot; the project is part of the Russian federal program Developing Civilian Marine Technology from 2009-2016.  The platform is to have an autonomous power supply and satellite communications connections for 24/7 use in the Barents Sea for 40 year.

It will be an intermediate landing site between the marine proaction works and the village of Teriberka in Murmansk Region. It will be used to switch out personnel wring at the field and will be able to hold five helicopters at a time and up to 100 transit passengers.
