Sloane Helicopters, one of the oldest distributors of Robinson helicopters in the world, has successfully completed a first round of promotional events to launch the Robinson R66 Turbine in the UK and Ireland. More than one hundred people have so far had the opportunity to see and test fly the aircraft, which bears registration N66UK.
With the passionate support of local operators, the aircraft has been taken to Headcorn, Biggin Hill and Leicester, whilst Blackpool, Manchester and Sherburn are scheduled to be visited this week. The North, Scotland and Ireland tour is currently under planning and other destinations in the South and the West are being finalised.
More than thirty guests from the Yorkshire Helicopter Club flew in at Sywell on Sunday the 27th of March to enjoy a hands on experience on the Sloane’s demonstrator.
Flight test have also been carried out in favour of a number of leading aviation magazines and their enthusiastic results will shortly be available to the public.
The aircraft received so far a very warm welcome from the helicopter community; low levels of noise and vibration, coupled with very good handling characteristics and excellent provisions of space both in the cabin and in the baggage compartment have raised the interest of a significant number of current and prospective owners.
Sloane will be pleased to assist in organising flight demos in any area of the country and will reply to all enquiries addressed to email@example.com or by phone to 01604 790595.
