HeliHub.com has heard that a criminal case has been opened regarding the theft of more than 4,000 helicopter parts from Kazan Helicopter Plant, valued at 6.8 million roubles (approx $250K).  The law enforcement agencies in Tatarstan have said that parts from the factory were taken away by truck. The gang included not only the heads of various departments and mechanics, but also a security officer at the plant.  The parts were then hidden in an abandoned warehouse factory, before being sold and exported over a period of four years.
