Donaldson Aerospace & Defense, a division of Donaldson Company, Inc. (NYSE: DCI), will provide Inlet Barrier Filter (IBF) systems and avionics bay filtration for new Bell 407 Trainers and Armed Scout Helicopters. The rotorcraft are being deployed to help increase the effectiveness of Iraq’s Security Forces.

A significant aspect of the transition to full Iraqi military proficiency is equipping the Iraqi armed forces with capable weapon systems, including helicopters specifically designed to operate in the harsh Iraqi desert environment. In late 2010, Iraqi Army Aviation took delivery of three Bell T-407 rotorcraft, configured for training, with Donaldson IBFs.  The T-407s will be followed by 23 IA-407 Armed Scout Helicopters in 2011 with IBF and avionics bay dust protection included.
