DART is pleased to announce that their subsidiary Apical Industries has received Brazilian approval for their EC135 Emergency Float Systems with or without Liferafts.  Transport Canada, FAA and EASA approval have been previously received.

Apical’s EC135 Emergency Float Systems each include four floats. The floats are constructed utilizing lightweight urethane-coated nylon fabric. Each float has inlet check valves and combination manual topping/pressure relief valves to provide overpressure protection. All valves are field replaceable. One 1105 cu. in. inflation reservoir with inflation valve is installed on the underside of the fuselage for float inflation. At customer option, the kit may also contain one six-man liferaft with survival kit mounted on each forward float and a 550 cu. in. liferaft reservoir with inflation valve, installed on the underside of the fuselage. The float inflation valve is operated either manually by a pull handle mounted on the cyclic stick or electrically by two water switches mounted on the underside of the fuselage (optional). The liferaft valve is operated manually by a cockpit mounted lever or one of the 2 T-handles, mounted on the Aft landing gear crosstube. The kit also includes inflation hoses, pull cables, miscellaneous clamps, brackets, and mounting hardware associated with installation of the system.
