Air Methods Corporation (Nasdaq:AIRM), the largest air medical transportation company in the world, announced today that the Federal Trade Commission has granted early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 (HSR) for its proposed transaction to acquire OF Air Holdings Corporation and its subsidiaries, including Omniflight Helicopters, Inc. (together, Omniflight).

Completion of the transaction between Air Methods and Omniflight is subject to customary closing conditions. The parties currently expect to complete the transaction on or around August 1, 2011.
