08-Aug-11 Boeing AH-6M Fort Benning, US-Georgia (2F)

Two Army  pilots were killed when their helicopter crashed during a training exercise on a live-fire range.  Pilots named as Capt. John D. Hortman, 30, of Inman, SC, and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Steven B. Redd, 37, of Lancaster, CA. Both served in the 1st Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment stationed at Fort Campbell, KY.
