Todd Test, flight paramedic for the Marion, Ill. Air Evac Lifeteam base, has been honored with the company’s 2011 Region 1 Flight Paramedic of the Year award.

Test’s region consists of Air Evac Lifeteam bases in Illinois, Missouri and Indiana.

The Flight Paramedic of the Year is presented to the paramedic who works as a team player, demonstrates a desire to increase knowledge and skills, and actively pursues opportunities to promote Air Evac in the community.

“Todd is a forward-thinking individual who always represents Air Evac Lifeteam and its operations with stellar service and dedication,” said Regional Director of Base Operations John Landis. “He has been a sterling ambassador for Air Evac, and has proven to be a true professional in every sense.

“Todd consistently sacrifices his personal time to make sure all base supplies are stocked and available, assists with base scheduling, and has taken on big tasks to ensure the base is running smoothly and operational,” said Landis. “He also has taken the lead on providing landing zone classes for local fire departments and EMS agencies, and is an instructor for medical outreach programs in the area. He is a consummate professional of the highest caliber and very deserving of this award.”
