Sikorsky Helitech and FlightSafety to offer P&W training down under

SHELTON, Connecticut – Sikorsky Helitech, a Sikorsky Aerospace Services company based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, announced today the signing of an agreement with FlightSafety International to provide maintenance training for customers in the Asia Pacific area. The three- year agreement is the first of its kind to offer Pratt & Whitney Canada Aircraft Engine maintenance training in the region. Sikorsky Aerospace Services (SAS) is the aftermarket division of Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

The program will launch with an initial offering of 16 courses per year for maintenance training on four different P&WC engine types. Under the terms of the contract, FlightSafety will provide Sikorsky Helitech with training courseware, a graphical flight simulator, plus a wide range of training aids. Sikorsky Helitech instructors will be FlightSafety trained and certified.
