Phoenix Heliparts, Inc. is continuing its expansion by appointing Paul Pfaffenberger as engineering program manager. He will oversee all engineering projects, his focus areas being Phoenix’s STC and PMA projects for MD500 helicopters.

Pfaffenberger brings to Phoenix an extensive background in aircraft engineering with over 25 years experience in the design, manufacture and certification of FAA-approved helicopter components and accessories. He was a founder and engineering director of FAA-PMA manufacturer EXTEX (now a unit of Timken) that held over 300 turbine engine approvals. He has completed conformity inspections and airworthiness releases as an FAA designee and has written test plans and performed engine tests in support of FAA approvals. Most recently, he completed contracts with Southwest Turbines, a repair station and PMA manufacturer in Phoenix, Arizona.

Phoenix Heliparts president, Tina Cannon, said, “Paul is a great addition to our company; he has proven technical leadership, and is well regarded in the industry. The depth of his experience with the entire FAA certification process, from design through manufacturing, inspection and approval, is an asset to our engineering team.”

Phoenix Heliparts offers its Total Support Team to a worldwide MD500 helicopter customer base, which includes offering a significant parts inventory for immediate shipment. Capabilities include engineering, avionics, interiors, sheet metal, AP & IA mechanics, field support, component overhaul, and now, for Rolls Royce gas turbine engines, removal and reinstallation services in partnership with StandardAero. The company’s commitment to quality and unparalleled customer service sets it apart.
