During the China Helicopter Exposition, Turbomeca China (Safran group) announces the signature of a Service Center contract with Citic Offshore Helicopter Company (COHC). This contract will reinforce the proximity support provided to operators in China.

Under this contract, COHC will have the Field Technicians, trained and qualified by Turbomeca, to support small fleet operators in China defined in the contract.

“This contract represents a reinforcement of the collaboration between our two companies, initiated three years ago. We combine the COHC experience and leadership in the helicopter business in China and the Turbomeca strategy to offer proximity support in China” said Lin Yang, Managing Director of Turbomeca China.

Today, one Turbomeca Field Representative is based at Hong Kong and two others are based in Beijing. COHC’s helicopter fleet is composed with eight Super Puma powered by the Turbomeca Makila 1A1, eleven EC 155 equipped with the Turbomeca Arriel 2C1 and Arriel 2C2 engines, and two EC 225 powered with the Turbomeca Makila 2A engines.

Powering 300 helicopters in China, Turbomeca is the leading helicopter engine supplier in China: one helicopter out of two is equipped with Turbomeca engines or licensed products.
