RLC, the largest privately-held helicopter operator in the Gulf of Mexico, today announced it has earned the Helicopter Association International’s (HAI) 2010 Operator Safety Award. This coveted honor is bestowed upon helicopter operators who operated without accident in the previous year. HAI acknowledged RLC for its outstanding 2010 safety record of 72,000+ accident-free flight hours.

“This award reflects our safety-first commitment to employ industry-leading safety, training and maintenance programs to ensure the well being of our customers,” said Larry Adams, Chief Operating Officer of RLC. “I applaud our employees and their steadfast commitment to safety. Without them, this achievement would not have been possible.”

“RLC can take great pride in the fact that they have met the requirements for this award,” said Matthew Zuccaro, president of HAI. “RLC’s dedication to reducing accident risk and upholding the highest safety standards reflects well on their organization, as well as the entire international helicopter community.”
