Raytheon System Co., McKinney, Texas, was awarded on Sept. 28 a $9,840,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 10 multispectral targeting systems in support of Navy MH-60S helicopters. The multispectral targeting system provides long-range surveillance, high-altitude target acquisition, tracking, range-finding, and laser designation for the Hellfire missile, and for all tri-service and NATO laser-guided munitions. Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas, and is expected to be completed by October 2013. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
