NEMSPA publishes heliport survey results

10-Nov-2011 Source: NEMSPA

The National EMS Pilots Association (NEMSPA) has published the results of their recent national survey of active helicopter pilots regarding their opinions and experiences with the current infrastructure of heliport design, management and safety. The intent of these results is to help the helicopter industry and the federal agencies that have oversight of the industry to better understand the current state of the nation’s current heliport infrastructure from the perspective of the pilots who utilize those facilities daily. NEMSPA believes that the pilots’ hands-on perspective should be an important consideration in the formulation of future standards, best practices and policies.  Survey results can be viewed and  downloaded from the NEMSPA web site here
