Skärgårdshavets Helikoptertjänst Ab (SHT) has been awarded the contract to operate 3 HEMS bases in Southern Finland.  The board of Directors at FinnHEMS Ltd. has chosen SHT to act as their HEMS operator at the bases situated in Vantaa, Tampere and Turku. The contract period is 7 + 3 years.

The long contract with FinnHEMS enables the development of the medical-borne rescue helicopter service which SHT started already in 1990. SHT will renew its current fleet of helicopters in Finland to meet the requirements of FinnHEMS Ltd.

SHT has performed rescue and emergency medical service operations at Åland since 1990, and HEMS operations in Turku since 2000, and in Vantaa since 2001. SHT is wholly owned by Wiklöf Holding Ltd.

– We are very pleased with FinnHEMS Ltd’s decision to procure the flight operations for three bases in southern Finland from SHT. Our long term strategy to slowly develop the company has been successful. The long contract gives SHT the muscle to look at new opportunities outside Finland say SHT Chairman and CEO of Wiklöf Holding Group Nils Lampi.

SHT is fully owned by the Wiklöf Holding Group Ltd
