Aerosolutions announces professional new courses designed for Rotary Wing pilots to coincide with the Helicopter Association of Canada (HAC) Annual Convention and Trade Show in Ottawa.

The advanced training programs for RW pilots include Approved Check Pilot (ACP) RW VFR, IFR Refresher for RW and Crew Resource Management (single-pilot and multi-crew).  These courses are designed to meet the needs of RW pilots and focus on RW issues.

The IFR Refresher for RW is scheduled on March 15-16 and the ACP RW VFR is scheduled on March 19-20.  Both will be held at the Shell Aerocentre at the Ottawa Airport.

Since 1995, Aerosolutions has delivered advanced pilot training and consulting services to some of the largest aviation organizations in Canada including Transport Canada, Air Canada and many other airlines and rotary and fixed wing operators.  David Holland, the instructor for the IFR Refresher, is the author of the New Instrument Procedures Manual which will be published in early 2012.

“With Aerosolutions I find Dave is more than willing to tailor his ACP course to specific scenarios that Great Slave deals with in regards to our operations. Since we have 9 ACP’s on staff Aerosolutions has been good enough to travel to Yellowknife to do an in house course for us thereby making it possible to deal specifically with our operating procedures and reducing travel costs etc. We have used Aerosolutions for our last two ACP RW VFR courses and will continue to schedule this training into the future” said Gord Bean, Chief Pilot of Great Slave Helicopters.

Aerosolutions President and A320 Check Captain David Holland elaborated on the new training: “Our plan is to integrate Aerosolutions advanced training courses into the rotary wing world to meet RW requirements and issues. We also expect that, as they move through their career, RW pilots will want to maintain their proficiency through future training with Aerosolutions”.
