….but…. Jeffrey Smith, chairman of the Eastern Region Helicopter Council, said the new rules would simply lead to increased noise for those residents who live closer to the shore. The ERHC adopted a North Shore flight plan at Senator Charles Schumer’s request in 2007, which only resulted in a highly concentrated and condensed flight pattern for all helicopters over the North Shore.
