Fairoaks Airport is ideally located close to London and has a great reputation as one of the leading airfields for professional training for both civilian and military pilots. Fairoaks is in the enviable position of being a very friendly GA airfield with excellent facilities for helicopter flying and social events.
Gary Savage is one of the most experienced professionals in the helicopter industry and Heli Air are delighted he is the new Base Manager at Fairoaks. As a Chief Flying Instructor he brings with him a wealth of knowledge of instruction, examining and public transport capabilities with various aircraft. Heli Air is confident Gary will continue to look after all your needs and will be joined by other Instructors and Commercial Pilots to assist him for the future development of Heli Air. With the support of current customers and promise of new customers Heli Air is looking forward to a successful future at Fairoaks.
Aircraft
Heli Air has already based an R44 at the airfield and expects another R44 and a Bell 206 soon. It is the intention in the Spring to add several additional aircraft as the operation grows, particularly a float equipped machine for River Thames and London heli-routes. Heli Air is also very keen to have the new Robinson R66 Turbine helicopter based at Fairoaks. Training
Heli Air brings to Fairoaks a full FTO and TRTO on various aircraft which means we can complete full PPL(H) courses, CPL(H) courses and Type Ratings on the majority of single engine aircraft.
