HAI is back in Dallas this week for the first of more than 20 trade shows the Association will participate in this year. The 23rd Annual Women in Aviation International (WAI) Conference begins today at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.

Wednesday was set up day, and also a first for WAI. HAI member company AirEvac LifeTeam of West Plains, Mo., flew in one of their local Bell helicopters, landing adjacent to the Anatole. The helicopter was then moved onto the exhibit hall floor – the first time a helicopter has been on the WAI conference floor.

Working with HAI members like AirEvac LifeTeam and others exhibiting at WAI, HAI (Booth #361) will showcase the many opportunities the 3,000 young aviation career bound women who are attending this show can experience in the helicopter industry.

One of the highlights will be on Friday at 9 a.m./CST, when HAI President Matt Zuccaro and an impressive panel of women involved in the helicopter world – pilots, instructors, and operators, both military and civilian – will discuss the wide range of opportunities for women in the helicopter industry.

HAI thanks AirEvac LifeTeam and especially Tony Bonham, Sr., Director of Flight Operations, for helping to demonstrate the important work of EMS helicopters and crews. The women pilots from AirEvac will be at the display during the show.
