With less than three months to go before EASA pilot licences start being issued, the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has released a podcast explaining what the changes mean for UK pilots. The audio guide has been produced exclusively for the CAA by the award winning Flaps Podcast team and is available for download at www.caa.co.uk/eupilotlicensing
The introduction of EASA licences will see the biggest change in pilot licensing since the introduction of JAR licences twelve years ago. The process began on 8 April 2012, and the CAA will begin issuing the new licences from 1 July 2012.
The CAA has also produced a ‘quick guide’ to the new EASA licences which is also available at www.caa.co.uk/eupilotlicensing
