Lockheed Martin awarded $13M order for MH-60R radar work

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors, Owego, N.Y., is being awarded a $13,765,096 firm-fixed-price delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-09-G-0005) for non-recurring and recurring efforts to design, develop, and produce new Automatic Radar Periscope Detection and Discrimination (ARPDD) configured AN/APS 153 (V) retrofit kits in support of the MH-60R aircraft.  This order includes the validation and verification effort, all integrated logistic support elements, and the technical directives required to retrofit MH-60R aircraft currently configured with the AN/APS 147 multi mode radar to the new ARPDD configured AN/APS 153 (V) retrofit kit.  Kit quantities include eight A-kits; four SEED B-kits; two STD B-kits; two Val/Ver A-kits; and five Antenna Array B-kits.  Work will be performed in Farmingdale, N.Y. (70 percent); Owego, N.Y. (29 percent); and various locations throughout the United States (1 percent).  Work is expected to be completed in April 2015.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
