During July a team of ADAPTâ„¢ specialists from Symbiotics Ltd travelled to Brunei to assess ab initio candidates that had applied to join a pilot selection programme, sponsored by Brunei Shell Petroleum. The candidates being assessed has applied to become helicopter pilots, eventually servicing oil platforms.
For Brunei Shell, safety is a critical factor, and as with all ADAPT™ selection programs, assessment reports were required, designed to focus on attitudes to safety, malfunction/emergency handling and special-to-role operations factors. As full training will take place overseas in the USA, each candidate’s resilience and motivation were also important characteristics to be documented.
Nikki Heath, Founder and CEO Symbiotics Ltd. “The ADAPTâ„¢ selection reports have enabled Brunei Shell to make their choices on which candidates to recruit. We have just heard that they are having a signing ceremony this month (August) where several Brunei government representatives will see a presentation on the ADAPTâ„¢ selection program, explaining the process for selecting the most suitable candidates.â€
