Slon.ru has published its third annual list of the best performing CEO’s of Russian companies listed on the Russian Stock Exchange. The main criterion for the ranking consists of the growth of company share value from the time of the previous ranking evaluations.

As ranking organization leaders have remarked, the Russian stock index as a whole fell by 20% in the year and a half since the last ratings research was completed. During the same period, UTair share value has increased by 25%, virtually guaranteeing UTair CEO Andrey Martirosov the first place on the list.

This is the second time that Mr. Martirosov has topped the rankings in the Slon.ru rankings for leading Russian CEOs.

UTair Aviation ranks among the top three Russian airlines. In 2011 UTair aircraft transported 6,750,425 passengers. In January-June 2012 UTair Group serviced 40.9% more passengers than for the same period of 2011. In 2012 the airline expects an increased transport volume of up to 10 million passengers. The airline operates more than 200 fixed wing aircraft and performs flights to 110 destinations in Russia and aboard. The airline maintains its central hub at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, from which it performs 100 flights daily.
