Russian engine manufacturer Perm Motors up 13% in 2012

[Electronic translation] JSC “Aviation and transmission gear – Perm Motors” (JSC “Reducer-PM”), part of the holding company “Russian Helicopters”, announced the results 2012 on production of helicopter use.

For all products – Gear BP-8, BP-14, BP-26 (designed for helicopters Mi-8/17 and Mi-26 ), transmissions for helicopters “Ansat” and the Mi-28N , as well as transmission 8M – production program has been fully planned volume.

Compared with 2011, the volume of production at the company grew by 13%. In 2013 JSC “Reducer-PM” planned growth of the production program by 17%.

A significant event of 2012 for the “Gear-PM” was the resumption of production, after 18-year break, the world’s largest gear VR-26, which is mounted on a unique heavy transport helicopter Mi-26, produced “Rostvertol” .

“2012 was productive for our company. We were able not only to fully implement the production program, but also to continue the implementation of investment projects in the future will determine the future of the company and will be able to ensure its sustainable development, – said the managing director of “Reducer-PM” Nicholas Semikopenko . – These projects primarily include the commissioning at the site of chemical-thermal treatment, site design and production of the model casting tools, creating a test bed of the fourth generation. In addition, the process to continue modernization of mechanical assembly plants in order to increase the capacity and throughput of the plant. ”
