Rolls-Royce awarded $83M option for V-22 engines

Rolls-Royce Corp., Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded an $83,730,834 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-12-C-0007) to exercise an option for the procurement of 38 V-22 AE1107C turboshaft production engines (34 for the U.S. Navy and four for the U.S. Air Force).  Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Ind., and is expected to be completed in December 2014.  Contract funds in the amount of $83,730,834 will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The applicable contract funds are fiscal year 2012 — Aircraft Procurement, Navy and fiscal year 2013 — Aircraft Procurement, Air Force.  This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy ($74,917,062), and the U.S. Air Force ($8,813,772).  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.
