Heli Air made a brief announcement on their website “In the beginning of 2013 arrived our new helicopter Agusta A109K2 with registration mark LZ CEA at Sofia Airport. The helicopter is designed for transport of passengers, Search and Rescue flights, Emergency Medical Service flights, Firefighting, Aerial Construction, as well as Aerial inspection and Surveillance. The helicopter is equipped with first class medical equipment for its EMS flights (Corpuls3, Medumat Standard, Accuvac Rescue etc.).”

To this we can add that this helicopter was acquired from REGA Swiss Air Ambulance, although the exact serial number is not yet available.

Heli Air have historically operated Russian designed aircraft since it was formed in 1990 – flying six Mil Mi-8 helicopters and six LET-410 fixed wing.  Just recently they have added two types, with this newly acquired helicopter and a Piaggio P180 Avanti fixed wing.
