Russian Helicopters have brought a Ka62 mockup to the HeliRussia 2013 show, but expect to fly the first example before the MAKS show this August. The Kamov design is powered by 1,680-hp Ardiden 3G turboshaft engines. The first transmission system, designed by Austrian specialists Zoerkler should be delivered this month. Certification of the 12-15 seat helicopter is expected in late 2014.
Launch customers include Brazilian operator Atlas Taxi Aereo, who is expecting deliveries from the first quarter of 2015.
