Enstrom’s new Chinese owners – Chongqing Machinery & Electronics Holdings – have announced that they have sold new helicopters at a recent regional trade fair to nine customers. Six are “letter of intent” for private owners, while the other three are signed orders for their local City Administration Bureau, Municipal Public Security Bureau, and the Chongqing Broadcasting Group. The three contracted customers have bought a total of six 480s and two F280FX models.
In recent weeks, Enstrom have not only appointed a construction company for a significant expansion of their production plant, and broken ground on it, but have also registered a big batch of new serial numbers with the FAA – the latter detailed in our weekly report on the US register for week ending 21st April 2013
