UTair has released its helicopter division operational statistics for May 2013, and the cumulative figures for January to May 2013 – and comparisons to 2012 of both.

International flight hours continue to show a significant decrease, with 14% less hours flown outside Russia in May, taking the cumulative to 9.6% down.

Internal flight hours inside Russia, together with passenger numbers are only a percentage point or two off last year’s numbers.

Cargo carried has fallen off a cliff by comparison, with May 2013 better than average this year at 15.2% down, helping improve the cumulative figure a little – although that is down 18.5%.
