Turbomeca extends certification of COHC as a Certified Maintenance Center

On the occasion of the Paris Air Show, Turbomeca China (Safran) announces the renewal of certification Citic Offshore Helicopter Company (COHC) as Maintenance Center. This agreement strengthens and the service proximity to customers operators in China.

With the renewal of this agreement, COHC provides the external assistance, trained and qualified by Turbomeca technicians to provide appropriate service to Chinese operators.
“To act in good interaction with our customers, our geographical and cultural presence on the ground is a key asset. This agreement confirms the strengthening of cooperation between our two companies, which began five years ago. It combines the experience COHC and its leading position in the helicopter market in China with the strategy of offering a Turbomeca service proximity to China, “said Thierry Mantel , CEO of Turbomeca China.

Today, 20 people Turbomeca are dedicated to the maintenance of engines operating in China. By September, a field representative will be based in Shenzhen to support COHC operators and customers in the region.

The helicopter fleet COHC, equipped with Turbomeca engines, consists of eight Super Puma (Makila 1A1), twelve EC 155 (Arriel 2C1 and Arriel 2C), two EC 225 (Makila 2A) and two AS350 B3 (Arriel 2B1) .

End of 2012, Turbomeca China and COHC celebrated the 400,000 flight hours accumulated by Turbomeca engines in the fleet COHC. Currently, COHC is the largest civilian Asia Southeast helicopter operator.

With 300 helicopters in China, Turbomeca is the leading provider of helicopter turbines in this country: one helicopter out of two is equipped with Turbomeca engines or licensed products.
