Tanis Aircraft Products is proud to announce a Supplemental Type Certificate for the AgustaWestland AW119 for installation of Tanis Preheat System. AgustaWestland has already placed an order for 15 STC Preheat Systems, Part Number TSHAW119-2862-115, for their customer Life Flight Network.
Produced by Tanis Aircraft Products, the Heli-Preheat System increases reliability and safety of operations, reduces torque oscillation, thermal stress, spool up, and launch times. Mounted on the aircraft, it weighs less than 7.5 pounds (3.4 kg). The system provides preheating to the engine, engine oil, reduction gearboxes and attached accessories, critical driveline components, main and tail rotor gearboxes, fluids, hydraulic modules, and battery. The installation kit comes complete with required cabling, circuit protection, shore power plug and door kit.
Doug Evink, Tanis President/ CEO commented that: “Tanis stands for the most technologically-advanced preheat systems. Our line of preheat and protection accessories has long been an industry standard and we are the only preheat company that has received FAA approval via a Supplemental Type Certificate for preheat systems. We are excited to be supporting the AW119 by contributing to safe operations and prolonged life of helicopter components.”
