Edward P. Dolanski has been named president and CEO of Aviall, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company. Dolanski joined Aviall in 2007 as senior vice president of operations and was promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) in January 2010.

As executive vice president and COO, Dolanski was responsible for Aviall’s day-to-day business, including operations, information technology and sales. His contributions include promoting the development of a new division focused on expanding supply chain services into the defense market, accelerating Aviall’s electronic integration with its customers and suppliers, driving business transformation through new technology investments, reinforcing the company’s focus on continuous improvement and expanding Aviall’s global distribution footprint.

Prior to joining Aviall, Dolanski spent seven years with Raytheon. During this time he served as vice president of mission support and chief information officer (CIO) of Raytheon Network Centric Systems defense division, vice president of aftermarket businesses and customer support for Raytheon Aircraft division and vice president and CIO at Raytheon Aircraft Integration Systems defense division.

His professional career also includes 14 years with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., where he held progressive positions in information technology and supply-chain management.

Dolanski studied finance and e-business at the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University, and received a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from John Brown University.
