Beside the proven Squirrel AS350 B3e and versatile EC135 P2E, exposed in Labace – Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition, is a more modern version of the EC130, T2, for the first time in Brazil is being presented.

During Labace, participants will meet the aircraft, modified with the objective of providing more comfort, improved operational performance and versatility. Then the helicopter will win the Brazilian air in demonstration tour that will visit the cities of Rio de Janeiro (RJ), São Paulo (SP), Belo Horizonte (MG) and Curitiba (PR).

The EC130 T2 version maintains the existing external lines but had about 70% of the cell structure modified. Among the new and updated features is a more powerful engine, the Arriel 2D, with modernization of the main gearbox, the incorporation of an active system vibration control, improved ventilation and defogging; internal structure of the redesigned cab with floor plan, updated cockpit with enhanced man-machine interface, more energy absorption in banks improving the weight and balance for passenger transport; fuel tank more impact resistant; sliding door on the right side, and greater accessibility for maintenance systems electrical and air-conditioning.

“In Brazil, the EC130 has won a loyal clientele in different mission types, from civil transport to rescue and salvage. Now in version T2 will provide the customer an even better performance due to the innovations implemented and perfectly aligned   with the requirements of our customers, “says François Arnaud, Vice President Sales and Marketing Helibras.

The EC130 T2 is equipped with  motor 10% more powerful than the previous model, with lower fuel consumption. The aircraft also offers a longer interval between overhauls. As for options, the helicopter has a new generation of air conditioning, windshield with sunshield and a sliding door on the right. The air conditioning system includes improved performance, effective temperature control of hot / cold, and a better distribution of air through the cabin.

The preparation for the presentation of the new EC130 T2 to the Brazilian market began in July, when the helicopter arrived in the country and was factory fitted Helibras in Itajubá (MG). For the paint tour of the aircraft was made using a green ink based on water without chemical solvents.

Compared to common inks, which uses water in its composition reduces the environmental impact by 75%, in addition to implementing high quality, also increasing product quality. Other benefits of green paint are ease of use, color durability, and the savings generated, because the ink coverage is higher, and is compatible with inks of other solvents, allowing the aircraft to be repainted with other material if required.
