A2B Heli Maintenance, a newly established EASA Part 145 independent commercial helicopter maintenance company, has formally opened its doors at London Oxford Airport.  Headed by Andy Bloxham, Managing Director, A2B Heli moved into the newly refurbished hangar on 19th August and will specialise in the support of leading commercial helicopter types.  In its first week of operation, A2B Heli supported three helicopters in Europe by providing short notice troubleshooting and scheduled maintenance.

A2B Heli, part of the expanding A2B Aero Group, comprises a team of five dedicated OEM factory trained certifying staff with experience on a wide range of Eurocopter, Bell, Agusta and Sikorsky models. The offering is supported by a unique global network of support, enabling it to offer customers support all around the world.

The company will be showcasing its expertise at the leading European helicopter exhibition Helitech International at London Excel during 24th-26th September.  Stand No NO3.

A2B Heli chose London Oxford Airport as an expanding business aviation airport, with close links to co-owned Barclays London Heliport in Battersea (20 minutes’ flying time from Oxford) and other strong transport links.  “We realised that whilst A2B Aero offered an unparalleled service in the current business streams (CAMO, Training & Consultancy), there was still a shortage of unique and competitive maintenance services, especially in the helicopter sector,” said Andy Bloxham.

James Dillon-Godfray, Business Development Director at London Oxford Airport added: “We are delighted to welcome the A2B team to Oxford whose presence brings increased capability on the rotary front, which complements our fixed wing MRO service providers.  As the Barclays London Heliport Operator we’ve seen a significant number of jet users embrace rotary operations, and we can now offer a ‘one-stop-shop’ for jets and helicopters at Oxford. The significant incentives we offer to use both the airport and the heliport in conjunction, adds to the overall value of what London Oxford Airport has to offer as a business aircraft base.”

“The expansion into helicopter maintenance is a significant move for A2B Aero, which set up in 2010.  We have added more resources to the team and are pleased to be offering  a wider portfolio of competencies than ever before,” said Andy Bloxham.  Capabilities include Airworthiness Management – EASA Part M (G & I) approved, to manage, import and completes ARC’s on, Bell, Eurocopter and Sikorsky products.    Agusta and MD Helicopters are scheduled to follow within the next 12 months.

A2B Aero is Part 147 Approved to deliver Engineer Type Training on Eurocopter and Bell models.  It has also recently made a significant investment to produce the most superior training material.

In addition, the company provides Consultancy Services across the globe for: Quality Management, EASA Form 4 Business Support, Procedure Optimisation, Aircraft Surveys, Organisation Health Checks and much more.
