Helibras just won another important step in the process of transfer of technology, needed for the company’s goal of developing a helicopter in Brazil. Eurocopter has granted permission to Helibras sign the Certificates of Conformity for mounting the gearbox main (CTP) of EC725/225, which means that teams formed by Brazilian technicians assume full responsibility of this process before performed only in facilities group in Marignane, France.

They will do the mounts, analyzes, controls, validation and release of the boxes that are attached to the helicopters of the EC725 assembly line and in the future, the EC225, whose manufacturing authorization has been issued in Brazil.

“This fact increases the importance of Helibrás the Eurocopter Group, therefore, be recognized and authorized to conduct an intervention of a highly sensitive means mastering a technology and strategic throughout the aircraft industry,” says Richard Marelli, vice president of Industrial Helibrás.

The Brazilian technicians had already conquered, in June 2013, the technical skills to assemble the gearboxes in Brazil after direct supervision of Eurocopter, which since last year had been following the team in the assembly of these units.
