This news item is part of the HeliHub.com “Register Updates” series, listing helicopters which have been added to a particular national register, removed from it or the listed owner has changed. Our coverage represents the majority of registration and owner changes within the global civilian helicopter fleet. Most updates are monthly, although some are less frequent.

The US register updates are presented weekly, and are in five sections. Each second includes a list of the headings for each data field. Hexcode is the allocated Mode-S code for the aircraft. Gyrocopters are sometimes included. Amateur-build types are often listed with Manufacturer as the actual builder, not the company selling the kits.

N numbers cancelled from the FAA register frequently include helicopters which have long since been exported

Where no destination country is listed, the registration is suspended for other reasons, including the helicopter being withdrawn from use or damaged beyond economical repair. Where the last owner is listed as SALE REPORTED, this indicates that the FAA does not have current data on the owner, and had already been considering cancelling the registration – in many cases, those helicopters are unlikely to have been operated for some years.
