Donaldson Aerospace & Defense’s Inlet Barrier Filters and other advanced filtration systems, reinforced by its expert customer support network, help aircraft throughout the Middle East perform critical missions reliably and safely in the region’s hot, dusty and salty conditions.

Donaldson Aerospace & Defense, a division of Donaldson Company, Inc. (NYSE: DCI), will be showcasing its systems and capabilities Nov. 17-21 during the Dubai Airshow at Dubai World Central (DWC) in Jebel Ali, Dubai, UAE. These will include the Inlet Barrier Filter (IBF) system for the AgustaWestland AW139 that is used by government and commercial operators in the Middle East. Donaldson IBFs also protect engines on Bell, MD and Sikorsky helicopters flown by numerous operators in the region.

The IBFs protect engines from microscopic dust and dirt while allowing flight crews to fly to Basic Inlet-equivalent performance and Category A operations levels. In addition, recent salt-water spray tests have demonstrated that Donaldson IBFs under extreme conditions can block nearly all airborne salts from entering an operating engine, further reducing maintenance costs and performance degradation.

Under their new strategic alliance, Bahrain-based Global Aviation Services sells and supports Donaldson filtration solutions for aircraft as well as military ground vehicles in key Middle Eastern markets.
