On Thursday, October 10, HAI President Matt Zuccaro attended a meeting at the Russian Federation Mission to the United Nations in Manhattan, N.Y. where UTair, an HAI member and largest Russian helicopter operator, presented its annual report regarding the company’s activities over the past year.

UTair showcased the company’s newest air transport services for UN representatives, in particular the capacities of the Russian made Mi-171, Mi-26, and Ka-32 helicopters.

UTair has been providing contractual air transport services for the UN since 1991 and is now the largest supplier of air transport services for the organization. UTair currently provides 40 helicopters, five airplanes, and approx. 450 cabin and engineering staff to the UN.

HAI is always keen to reach out to its international members; such meetings are invaluable in addressing the concerns of helicopter operators from around the world.

On this occasion, Zuccaro met with Andrey Martirosov, CEO of UTair; Ms. Ameerah Haq, Under Secretary General of the United Nations; and Mr. Vitaly Churkin, Russian Federation representative to the United Nations.
