The Thai Army are taking delivery of a Robinson R44 Raven II – serial 13525 – for evaluation, and it is scheduled to arrive in-country this month. Local operator – and Robinson dealer in Thailand – Heliluck Aviation is handling the whole project, with Richard Mornington Sanford of Mornington Sanford Aviation providing R44 type training for Heliluck. The training provided covered both R44 maintenance and pilot training, and was conducted in Heliluck’s huge new facility in Bangkok, and consisted of five days theoretical training plus three days of practical work.

The Thai DCA approved R44 pilot conversion course was also conducted at Heliluck’s new facility and consisted of four days of theoretical training, plus a minimum of five hours flight training per pilot.
