Exelis has been awarded a Defense Logistics Agency contract  valued at $10.9 million to provide  ARC-201D radios for installation in U.S. Army UH-60M Blackhawk and CH-47F Chinook helicopters.

The ARC-201D is the primary Army Aviation voice communications radio and the only qualified SINCGARS (Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System) capable airborne radio for these two helicopters. It provides voice and data communications with networking and anti-jamming capabilities.

Production for this contract will be accomplished at the Exelis facility in Fort Wayne, Ind.
