Dallas Avionics announced today the company has completed training of the Tampa General pilots and crew on the Bell 407 equipped with the new TDFM 7000. Dallas Avionics sales and tech support representative Scott Hurst conducted the training.

The Dallas Avionics TDFM 7000 transceiver offers the most up-to-date, FM communications technology including P25 CAI, P25 Trunking and AES with P25 OTAR from Dallas Avionics.

“The multiple clear lines of communication allows for safer missions,” said Dallas Avionics Outside Sales Manager Todd Enloe, “This transceiver was designed to create safer flights with less interruption or dropped communications. Tampa General is in the business of saving lives where every second counts.  Proper communications can mean the difference in someone’s life.  We were able to train their pilots and crew member on how to best utilize the system for their operations.”

The new transceiver features include up to four bands customized to meet customer requirements; a P25 CAI that allows digital communications with backward compatibility to both narrow and wide band analog operation; flash upgradeable architecture that allows new features and options to be subsequently implemented on the existing transceiver platform; and built-in audio switching capability that allows operation of multiple RF modules in either “combined” or “separate” transceiver configuration.

Each transceiver can store 1050 channels per band and is capable of simultaneous operation on all available bands. The TDFM- 7000 must be programmed with a laptop utilizing the Motorola Customer Programming Software (CPS),TM which ensures total compatibility with existing fleet deployment.
