Avinco boasted a particularly strong year with a total of 29 transactions.
Its trading activity increased considerably, particularly in the medium to heavy segments, with 7 purchases and 8 sales covering Asia, North and South America, Europe and Africa.
Avinco also intensified its financing activity and leasing services in 2013 for operators large and small. These services were developed in response to a growing demand from Avinco’s customers.
Aubrey Point, Avinco’s Vice President, attributes the firm’s continued success to its increasingly customer-focused approach. “It’s the firewall technique. Our customers want to limit exposure in whatever form, so there is a real need to provide turnkey solutions for them today. In more and more cases operators come to us with a need to purchase with finance,” Point continues,” on other occasions we may buy a machine where our customers might find a transaction too risky or too complex. Our leasing and trading activity means we’ve been able to turn around and create opportunities for them.”
Recent financing contracts include a BK117 and AS365N2 operated in SAR and utility in Africa, and an EC145 operated offshore in Mexico.
Another string to Avinco’s bow is its expanding commercial team. Avinco broadened its activities in the Asian market with Commercial Director Joanna Lumanlan overseeing operations in the region. Viviane Mello also joined Avinco from Brazil as Commercial Director, based in Monaco.
Avinco’s spare parts department also proved a true added value for Avinco helicopter customers over the year, providing support and solutions going forward with replacements, repairs and overhauls.
To close its tenth anniversary year, Avinco launched its new revamped website, with a fresh look, new features, easier access to available helicopters, spare parts, news etc.. The website can now be viewed in a simplified user-friendly version on all tablets and cell phones.
With accelerated transaction processes, limited risk and all around support, Avinco proved to be a valuable partner for buyers, lessees and aircraft owners in 2013. “Leasing and financing services will be key again in 2014. “says François Gautier, CEO, “We will continue to be creative, provide turnkey packages, and address very specific requirements. Avinco’s plans for 2014 also include expansion into the North and South American markets.”
Avinco’s Aubrey Point and Joanna Lumanlan are currently attending the Singapore Airshow.
Avinco’s commercial team is attending Heli-Expo 2014 in Anaheim, CA from February 25-27, 2014, Booth 3622.
