Eagle Avionics Systems (formerly Geneva Aviation) introduces a newly developed Fail Safe Audio Mixer that ensures Master Caution Audio Alerts are passed even in the event of power failure or fault. The unit provides 8 Audio Inputs and 3 Composite Outputs with 2 of those channels being relay protected. Current Audio Mixers require the addition of external relays to ensure that there are no disruptions of the Master Caution Alert Audio in the event of a power loss. The additional weight, space, and cost requirements to do so were considerations in the units’ development. The new self contained unit provides a small single unit solution to an issue that every completion center and avionics shop currently has to deal with in the integration of a constantly growing number of devices with Audio Alert Outputs.
