The U.S. Commercial Service (USCS) has partnered with Helitech International to jointly promote opportunities for U.S. companies to participate within a U.S.A. Pavilion.  Helitech International, supported by the European Helicopter Association, takes place 14-16 October 2014 in Amsterdam.

“Opening a European business gateway is a key opportunity for U.S. rotary companies and the U.S.A. Pavilion initiative will provide an ideal platform at this year’s event in Amsterdam,” said Vittorio Morassi, President of European Helicopter Association. “Given the encouraging signs of growth in many sectors of the rotary industry, there is no doubt that Helitech International 2014 will offer unique networking opportunities with the many international visitors that will be in attendance.”

The USCS supports American businesses with integrated governmental and trade promotion activities from 128 commercial offices located in U.S. Embassies and Consulates in more than 75 countries, providing services such as market intelligence, advocacy and commercial diplomacy.

Melissa Grosso, Senior International Trade Specialist and Global Aerospace and Defense Team Leader; U.S. Commercial Service, said, “The U.S. Commercial Service’s Global Aerospace Team is pleased to partner with Reed Exhibitions on the Helitech International 2014 U.S.A. Pavilion.  The U.S. Commercial Service brings a worldwide presence, in-depth aerospace industry knowledge, and B2B matchmaking capabilities to the partnership.  This partnership program creates a strong platform to showcase U.S. helicopter products and technologies. The Helitech International 2014 partnership program will help U.S. companies achieve greater international sales and meet their international business objectives.”

To further its goal of increased U.S. exports, the USCS will offer matchmaking opportunities at the Amsterdam event to U.S.A. Pavilion participating companies by introducing them to potential European buyers as well as international buyer delegations. In addition, commercial intelligence will be available to potential exhibitors as well as on-site support from the USCS team of local aerospace specialists. Further promotion will include a national campaign conducted via the export.gov platform.

As organisers of Helitech International, Reed Exhibitions will support the USCS by offering a turnkey package to companies in the U.S.A. Pavilion that will make exhibiting easier with streamlined guidelines and procedures. Reed Exhibitions will also organise a networking reception during the Amsterdam event aimed at inviting international buyers to the U.S.A. Pavilion.

The potential business window to be offered at this year’s Amsterdam event is set in the context of increasing sales of helicopters globally. The rising demand from key sectors in the international commercial market is triggering growth, particularly in Europe. According to a recent report from Strategic Defence Intelligence (SDI), the global commercial helicopter sector is expected to experience a growth of 3.08 per cent during the period 2013-2023. Cumulatively, Europe is expected to spend US$14.0 billion on commercial helicopter procurement during the forecast period.

“Dominated by a large number of procurements from countries such as UK, Russia and Ireland, Europe had the highest market share of commercial helicopters in 2013 with more growth expected in 2014. The main industries in Europe include offshore oil and gas, helicopter emergency medical services, search and rescue, VIP or corporate transport, law enforcement and public safety. Due to the increasing demand from the offshore oil and gas industry, medium helicopters account for the largest share of the European market with a 54.7 per cent score during the forecast period,” said Berenice Baker, Editor at SDI (www.strategicdefenceintelligence.com).

John Hyde, Event Director for Helitech International, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with the USCS in this innovative initiative to showcase a U.S.A. Pavilion that will demonstrate the latest rotary products and services from a wide range of American companies. In light of SDI’s encouraging forecast, we are very keen to network with a wide cross-section of the U.S. rotary industry here in Anaheim to highlight Helitech International’s potential export dimension.”
