ExecuJet Europe is launching commercial helicopter charter and management services from the company’s London Cambridge FBO, after being granted a helicopter Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from the UK Civil Aviation Authority.

The company’s managed and charter fleet includes two Eurocopter EC155 helicopters based at Cambridge Airport, with an additional two contracts in the final stages of negotiation.

John Brutnell, Operations Director, ExecuJet Europe, says: “There has been great demand from our existing fixed-wing customers to include helicopter operations in our service offering. Helicopter charter provides a fast, flexible service for business professionals, and is suited for short flights to destinations with no airport. We expect the service to be popular with executives, as it will enable them to make multiple site visits in one day. However, we also expect there to be high demand for leisure purposes, as helicopter charter enables customers to land conveniently at locations such as hotels, restaurants and sports events.”

ExecuJet Europe has employed a team of experienced full-time specialists to lead the company’s helicopter operations, including a Director of Helicopter Flight Operations and a Head of Helicopter Training.
